Xhariep Trans Frontier African Theme Park
Establishment of the Theme Park modelled on Disney World, using an African Theme and architecture. The project will be around the Xhariep dam and will be undertaken in collaboration with the Northern Cape and the Eastern Cape Provinces.
Manthatisi Eco Estate (MDTP)
Development of a world class tourism destination in the Province, encompassing development of the Manthatisi Eco Estate at the Sterkfontein Provincial Nature Reserve.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IMPLEMENTATION PROJECTS
Barolong Boo Selaka
Phase 1
Development of a Barolong Boo Seleka Cultural village in Thaba Nchu consisting of a cultural museum, arts and crafts market/stalls, traditional restaurant and an amphitheatre.
Phase II
Upgrade of 1km gravel road, construction of sewer network and provision of water reticulation. Construction of 8 chalets and laundry facility. Install electricity connection in the new building and a septic tank. 1109 short term jobs were created and 14 workers were trained for Tourism Awareness and Business Training. It is anticipated that the project will be completed on the 30th June 2012 and handover will be done on the 1st July 2012 to the Barolong Traditional Council.
Qwa-Qwa Guest House
Construction of a guesthouse in Tsheseng Village with 32 chalets, a guard house, main building, access road, staff accommodation and installation of furniture. 213 jobs were created for the local community.
Lekhalong la Mantsopa
100 jobs have been created. Project comprises of on-site rehabilitation of the cave church,

Witsieshoek Moutain Resort
Upgrade of the Witsieshoek Hotel in QwaQwa – Upgrade of sewer treatment plant, 4 medium sized chalets, one large chalet, gate house, staff accommodation, electrical wiring outside and inside of the buildings, administration building and sentinel buildings, construction of a service workshop, demolishing of old buildings, construct one managers house.
Empereni Hospitality Training Centre
Development of Hospitality Training Centre, accommodation, information centre and long distance bus terminal in Ficksburg. The business plan is yet to be finalised and signed by the Implementing Agent.
